This past weekend was a joyful celebration, as the congregation of Faith Presbyterian Church gathered with the Peace River Presbytery to glorify God, to give God thanks and praise for God's gift of call on our lives, and to officially install me as Faith's new Associate Pastor for Family Ministry.
It was great to have family come from Pennsylvania to join us here (though truth be told, I'm not completely sure whether they came for the Installation Service or for the warm weather...). I was also honored to welcome Rev. Matt Matthews and Rev. Patrick Jinks, dear friends and colleagues, to participate in the service.
Thanks to all who participated in making this weekend special for me and my family: the presbytery Installation Commission; the incredible staff of Faith; youth who ushered; children who sang with God's Angels; Michael Helman, whose new postlude marking the occasion means so, so much; Presbyterian Women who organized the reception; the members of the Associate Pastor Nominating Committee; Matt and Patrick and their families; and especially Megan and Layton. God is good. If you live far from Southwest Florida, or weren't able to attend worship on Saturday, here's a video archive of the worship service.
