My colleague Matt and I continue to preach our way through texts from the Revised Common Lectionary as we lead up to Lent. My sermon on February 19, 2017 brought Paul's first letter to the church in Corinth (1 Corinthians 3:10-11,16-23) and portions of Jesus' famous Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5:38-48) into conversation as we considered what kind of church we're called to build upon the strong foundation Christ laid. 1 Corinthians 3:10-11,16-23 (CEB) Matthew 5:38-48 (NRSV)
